living

live [liv] verb
[Origin: bef. 900; ME liven, OE lifian, libban; c. D leven, G leben, ON lifa, Goth liban]
1. to have life, as an organism; be alive; be capable of vital functions.
2. to continue to have life; remain alive.
3. to continue in existence, operation, memory, etc.
4. to maintain or support one's existence; provide for oneself.

we live...

we breathe;
air fills our lungs,
nourishes our cells.
with a sigh,
our tension flows away.

we release;
strands of our being,
slowly unfurl.
our bodies calm,
peacefully at ease.

we think;
thoughts of ourselves,
with others.
forming bonds,
removing barriers.

we progress;
missteps teach,
sometimes with pain.

vowing to change,
exceeding expectations.

we gather;
sharing knowledge,
of understanding.
giving more,
taking less.

...we live
