Still Rushin' after all these years

So, tonight I'm taking my evening walk about the 'hood. I hear a riff of Rush's Twilight Zone coming from a passing car and began humming the tune for the next few minutes. I get home and pop in the CD to continue the experience. It has always been one of my favorite albums but who'd a thunk I'd be sitting on the couch drinking a glass of Aussie cabernet and listening to Geddy Lee belting out a tune?!

I can't tell you the exact day or year that I bought my first Rush LP or 8-track (yeah, remember those?) but I'd have to guess it's been over 25 years. I do remember grabbing several European releases while wandering around in Nottingham in the Summer of '81. The band was at their height of popularity...Moving Pictures was an effin' awesome album. Who doesn't know Tom Sawyer by heart? The following year they released Signals, which blew me away! Subdivisions and New World Man are still two of my favorite tracks. Their Moving Pictures and Signals albums were a huge part of my senior high school experience.

Geddy, Neil, Alex...a 3-man band from "the great white North" who gave us tons of timeless great rock-n-roll. Thanks guys!!
